Memset Ready Self-Service Cloud Management System
- Patrol Services All Available To Be Self-Managed -
Guildford, Surrey – Award-winning IaaS provider, Memset have today announced a series of changes to their performance patrol services in a move to enable companies to self-manage an array of cloud instances.
Whilst many IT managers appreciate the value of procuring a fully managed cloud infrastructure service, there is a definite trend to move towards a self-managed offering, which can often provide greater data control, ease of use and deeper control of cloud performance.
As a result, Memset have overhauled their performance patrol package to include self-managed firewalling, port monitoring, vulnerability scanning and clustering to help satisfy the preference for greater independent functionality and data security needs without sacrificing scale, flexibility and compute capability.
Kate Craig-Wood, MD of Memset, said "These changes allow us to provide the enormous benefits of our Patrol suite at a significantly reduced price as a fully automated, self-managed solution. It is also something that our customers have been asking us for.”
She continued: “We are increasingly focussed on providing the very best infrastructure as a service that we can, and making automated versions of these services has been key to this. They are also going to be a vital part of our G-Cloud IL3 IaaS-only service which requires additional monitoring and security elements. With these we will be able to bring commodity cloud prices to higher government security tiers.”
