G-Cloud accredited supplier, Memset has today announced a number of key appointments in pursuit of new Public Sector accounts via the G-Cloud programme.

As a new breed of SME supplying ICT services to the public sector, Memset is keen to attract public sector customers with their flexible and efficient IT solutions as well as flawless service delivery.

Industry veteran, Roy Simpson, who acts as Memset’s enterprise sales advisor, is tasked with developing an enterprise-focused sales and distribution network targeting System Integrators (Sis). The systems integration market continues to experience substantial growth thanks to virtualisation, government IT streamlining and cloud computing, and SIs have an important role to play as more businesses move to the cloud, and especially as software vendors and systems integrators are looking to create connectors for their cloud services.

Simpson said: “Memset is in a very strong position to leverage their IL2 and soon to be IL3 accreditation to target SIs, as we believe G-Cloud projects will be a big factor in Public Sector where government really likes to see British SMEs given a real chance to compete and also partner.”

The Memset team has also been bolstered with the appointment of Kevin Anson as Business Development Director - Government. Kevin joins the team from Clarity Commerce Solutions where he spent nine years focusing on securing public sector contracts and will be leveraging his experience in pursuit of local government contracts for Memset.

“Despite being recognised as one of the most efficient parts of the public sector following high levels of reductions in spending, the local government now need to think and act differently, and through our extensive partnerships with other G-Cloud accredited suppliers we will be bringing a number of exciting new ways for  local government to not only achieve the required efficiency savings needed but deliver the very best for their local communities,” said Anson
