[Self-managed vs Memset®-managed support level agreements (SLA) overview]
We offer two levels of technical support with Miniserver® Virtual Machines and fully dedicated servers. These relate to the level of technical assistance we can provide with the day-to-day administration of your server. Port Patrol™ Monitoring services are covered separately, but the level of support you will receive in the event of a problem being detected by the monitoring is determined by your support package.
Normal technical support is dealt with via email - simply send an email to support@memset.com detailing your query and we will assist you. For urgent matters (such as server failures) you should use the emergency SMS facility if you are on the Memset®-managed support tier.

Migration / on-board & off-boarding / data extraction
Please note that any type of data migration (on or off our services) is NOT included with either support level, but we can assist you for at our standard hourly rates (see above).
For migration of Web services and email onto our servers we partner with SEM solutions, who can also assist you in moving off our services if necessary. Their services are chargable. We sometimes part-fund their costs so if that is of interest please contact sales.
We do not restrict your access to your data in any way, provided that you are in good financial standing with us. At any time you may extract your data from your dedicated server or Miniserver VM® with standard access and file transfer tools without impediment from us - you have full administrator or root access. Equally with Memstore™ you may extract your data at any time as part of the normal service, however you will be charged for the bandwidth used in the transfer.
If you have a large amount of data with us and for some reason you are unable to download it yourself then we can provide it to you on storage media, for a fee. The fee would be based on the time taken by our systems administrators to complete the task, the media costs and the postage. Please note however that we stongly advise against this method of data extraction since it is significantly insecure compared to encrypted download via SFTP, SCP or HTTPS. If you choose to ignore this advice and insist on using physical media to transfer data we accept no liability whatsoever for corruption or loss of any or all of your data.
We can also accept large amounts of data on storage media instead of you uploading it, but the same charges and warnings apply as articulated above.
