Sales Executive

Location

Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, Surrey (GU6 8TB) - home to the famous Top Gear track and production studio, as well as Wings and Wheels and many other exciting events. We offer a shuttle bus service from Guildford train station and a fleet of electric bikes.

Summary

Memset is a small, friendly, fast-growing, multi-award-winning company providing managed hosting and cloud services to businesses and government. Working as Sales Executive you will be joining a successful company that is privately owned and growing at around 30% per annum. As a Sales Executive, you will work within a tightly knit team striving towards common goals.

Responsibilities

Existing and New customer duties include:

  • Existing customer calls and account management of allocated accounts
  • Eloquently putting forward Memset's services in the best possible light
  • Attending trade shows, conferences and external events
  • Following up enquiries and leads through to fruition
  • Attending and managing external meetings with customers and prospects
  • Answering the Sales line when required
  • Dealing with queries on the Sales chat
  • Working with the Operations team to ensure customer technical requirements can be realistically met and supported
  • Preparing sale updates and reports

Housekeeping duties include:

  • Handling various customer enquires on the phone and through our ticketing system
  • Dealing with some admin and billing enquiries for staff cover
  • Updating and using Salesforce CRM for effective sales work flow
  • Preparing detailed proposals and quotes for customers and documenting these in internal systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Sales experience in Hosting/Cloud or Internet Industry
  • Good technical knowledge of Internet and Hosting industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication of complex technical topics
  • Experience of CRM and Web based systems to aid Sales tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Flexibility regarding working hours (shifts rota operates between 8am and 5:30pm with early shift being 8am and late 9:30am)

Highly Desirable

  • Education to degree level or equivalent (in any discipline)
  • Experience of working with partners to deliver solutions

Summary

An excellent environment for a budding systems administrator to develop their skills and gain experience with many new technologies. We manage both Linux and Windows environments, so experience with both is preferred. We offer an extensive in-house training as well as assistance with exams/qualifications, purchase of relevant literature and a bonus for each qualification obtained.

Salary £24,000-£28,000

Principal Tasks

  • Providing email and phone based technical support to direct customers
  • Provisioning and set up of servers and network equipment
  • Assets management
  • Troubleshooting hardware/network/software problems and liaising with vendors
  • 24/7 on call one week in seven (with compensation)

Minimum Requirements

  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking and internet protocols
  • Systems administration skills - Windows/Linux? or both (server setup and configuration)
  • A good degree in a science, maths, engineering or technology degree, or be able to demonstrate relevant IT experience
  • Good problem solving abilities
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Highly Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications e.g. MCSE/LPI/RHCT/RHCE
  • Full UK driving license
