- Technology Entrepreneur Makes Final For Women Of The Future Awards -
Guildford, Surrey, United Kingdom – 30 September 2009, Kate-Craig-Wood, technology entrepreneur and MD of IT Hosting company Memset has been named as a finalist in the Women of the Future Awards.
The organisers said: “Britain may still be suffering in recession, but its future is in exciting hands,” when they named Kate Craig-Wood as a finalist of the 2009 Women of the Future Awards, in association with Shell.
The Awards are the most powerful platform in Britain celebrating outstanding young women who are transforming Britain for the better. The ceremony will be held on November 12 the Marriott Grosvenor Square, hosted by BBC London’s Riz Lateef.
Kate has been nominated for the Entrepreneurial Woman of the Future Award.
The Awards feature high fliers from organisations such as IBM, HSBC and JP Morgan. The 2009 shortlist is the most impressive and diverse to date and includes the singers from Wicked - Alexia Khadime & Dianne Pilkington, founder of Pineapple Studios Debbie Moore and tailor Kathryn Sargent.
Kate, said: “It is a tremendous honour to be shortlisted. Few women have made a name for themselves in the very male-dominated IT Industry, and I’m delighted to be recognised in these awards.
